Q:What if I wish to order an item in a special size?

A:If there is no option for size on the order form, leave a special note about the desired size in the customer notes box as you are checking out. If we have any questions while filling the order, we will be sure to contact you. If the item is a RING please use the contact option on the left menu to ask Layne whether or not the ring is sizeable. Be sure to make note of the item number in your message.

Q:What if I see a piece that I like in silver, but I want it made in gold?

A:Almost all of our items are made to order in 14k yellow or white gold. Many items can even be made in two-tone with silver and gold or white and yellow gold. Please make a note of the item number, and send your request via the contact form on the left menu. Items made to order within 4-6 weeks.

Q:What is Layne Designs jewelry made out of?

A:Layne Designs jewelry is made from sterling silver and/or gold with genuine gemstones. The only line of jewelry which includes plated metals is the poetry series where the stamped dome is sterling silver and a gold plated coin hangs behind it.

Q:I am looking for something very specific. Will you make a custom item to meet my needs?

A:Absolutely! We love to satisfy the need for something very special. Please send a brief description via the contact form on the left menu, or e-mail images to info@LayneDesigns.com Whether it is a personal gift or bridal jewelry, we will reply quickly to meet your needs.

Q:I need a custom item quickly. How soon can you have it done?

A:4-6 weeks is the standard time to finish a custom item. If you need it sooner, please contact us via the form on the left menu to discuss your time constraints. Special arrangements are made on a case by case basis.

Q:How can you make a custom item if I am unable to visit your studio?

A:We have completed many custom items for our customers all over the country. To begin a custom item, a sketch fee of $25 is payable to Layne Designs. This deposit will go toward the final cost of your item. It works like a deposit. Then, Layne will begin sketching. We will send at least three different sketch ideas to you via e-mail. Revisions to the sketches will be made until you are pleased with the concept. After your sketch approval, A deposit may be required to begin work. An estimated 4-6 weeks is required to complete the work. Your custom item must be paid in full before it will be shipped to you.
